Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time EMT-paramedic to join the Emergency Department team at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Wisconsin. Under supervision, you will assist in emergencies, prepare medications, operate ventilators, and communicate patient needs to licensed clinicians.

The role requires EMT-Paramedic licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications within 6 months, and competence with EHR systems. Strong teamwork and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• EMT Paramedic license required
• BLS certification within 6 months
• ACLS certification within 6 months
• PALS certification within 6 months
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage time and priorities

Responsibilities

• Document information and communicate observations to licensed clinician.
• Under supervision, prepare and administer medications; operate ventilators when needed.
• Assist physicians in emergencies and notify RN/physician of patient changes.
• Support patient/family teaching and document in medical records.
• Process daily patient charges through the EHR and coordinate communications.
