Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center in Lake Geneva, WI, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department night shift (6p-6a) with rotating weekends and holidays. A sign-on bonus is available for ED positions with commitment.

The role uses the nursing process and interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive care. The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required upon hire with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• May require specific years of applicable experience to qualify (per department guidelines).

Responsibilities

• Provides compassionate, culturally sensitive nursing care to patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policy and standards of care.
• Documents care accurately and timely.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops and executes patient care plans with input from physicians and family.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and unit decisions.
• Escalates patient safety concerns through appropriate channels.
