Job summary

Rochester Regional Health seeks a Patient Care Tech for the Emergency Department at Unity to provide direct or indirect patient care under a licensed nurse. You will execute tasks with quality and safe care, ensuring a positive patient experience across interactions.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, hygiene, vitals, EKG, admissions/discharges, specimen collection, and safe ambulation. Strong communication and professionalism are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment, stock supplies, and prepare rooms for admissions.
• Provide safe patient care for nutrition, skin integrity, elimination, and hygiene needs.
• Perform clinical duties under RN supervision, including vitals, pulse oximetry, EKG, admissions and discharges.
• Collect and dispose of specimens as directed.
• Demonstrate communication, compassion and professionalism.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and proper use of lift devices.
• Follow safety initiatives for the department and assist in post‑mortem care.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and family requests.
