Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL is seeking a part-time ED Technician to work 24 hours per week (7:00am–7:00pm). The role supports the ED team under medical direction, performing patient care within certification scope and reporting findings to the RN and ED Attending.

Required is a current Florida EMT-Paramedic certification, BLS and ACLS on hire, and at least one year of paramedic experience. A high school diploma or GED is also required.

Qualifications

• Current EMT-Paramedic certification in the State of Florida.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification required on hire.
• One year Paramedic experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED from an approved program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care within the EMT-Paramedic scope following physician orders and policies.
• Collect pertinent data and report clinical and psychosocial findings to the RN and ED Attending.
• Support the ED team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and adherence to hospital standards.
