Job summary

Qualifications

• Current National Registry and State certification as an Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic Level with one year field experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs triage to avoid delay in patient care.
• Documents patient related activities after physician approval.
• Obtains vital signs and identifies abnormal values based on age.
• Ensures infection control and proper disposal of sharps.
• Coordinates tasks with unit personnel.
• Educates EMT students as assigned.
• Maintains patient safety and appropriate patient care charges.
