Job summary

Kingman Healthcare in Kingman, AZ seeks an ED Paramedic to provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department under supervision of RN/MD. Must hold active paramedic certification in Arizona and BLS/ACLS/PALS.

This safety-sensitive role requires one year of paramedic experience, ability to multitask, communicate clearly, and manage patients across age groups. Experience in a hospital setting preferred; will participate in department process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• PHTLS certification.
• Current, valid EMCT Paramedic Certification through the state of Arizona.
• One year experience as a Paramedic.

Position Purpose

All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI’s vision to be among the kindest, highest quality health systems in the country.

Provides direct patient care within the level of training as a paramedic on patient population of neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Performs in the hospital setting under the direct supervision of registered nurse or physician as credentialed by the hospital Medical Executive Committee. Performs other unit specific duties as assigned.

Licensure:

• One year experience as a Paramedic.

Work Requirements

• Able to assist with the movement of an adult patient weighing up to 300 lbs.
• Able to care for patients with infectious diseases.
• Able to sit for 3-5 hours per day; Able to stand for 3-5 hours per day; Able to walk for 3-5 hours day.
