Qualifications

• Performs patient care interventions, including medication administration, per state scope and approved tasks.
• Performs focused assessments, completes documentation, and escalates abnormalities as needed.
• Provides orientation to patients and families on unit policies and processes.
• Contributes to the team by meeting medication, storage and documentation standards.
• Participates in in-service programs, meetings, and rounds.
• Maintains department environment and patient care supplies.
• Fulfills miscellaneous job duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provides orientation to the unit, hospital systems, and processes to patients and family members to ensure familiarity with unit’s policies and requirements.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing required activities within established parameters to ensure compliance with all applicable medication, storage and documentation standards, regulations, and requirements.
• Participates in a variety of in-service programs, meetings, and rounds as indicated.
• Performs a variety of activities to provide for the ongoing maintenance of the department`s environment and patient care needs.
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.

Position Summary

This position works under the direction of the administrative medical director to assist in the implementation of selected portions of the care plan, and perform a variety of direct patient care services through defined protocols/standing orders approved by the administrative medical director.
