Job summary

Qualifications

• No experience required but hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• 1-3 years as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital setting preferred.
• Must maintain annual competencies required by USP 797 guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently stock and maintain automated dispensing cabinets.
• Prepare medications for cart fill, first doses, and cabinet restocks.
• Interview patients and compile home medication list.

Skills

Experience with automated dispensing machines

Experience in sterile compound preparation

Education

Alabama Board of Pharmacy Technician license

Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)

Completion of pharmacy technician training program
