Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Canonsburg, PA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Emergency Department on a 36-hour, rotating schedule. Under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, you will provide direct patient care, assist with examinations, prepare equipment, collect specimens, and support the treatment team.

Experience with EPIC documentation and IV therapy is a plus. This on-site role emphasizes teamwork, HIPAA compliance, and compassionate care in a fast-paced ED

Qualifications

• LPN license in good standing and multi-state licensure preferred.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
• CPR/PALS or ACLS certification preferred.
• State-approved IV course certification.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care within the LPN scope.
• Assist with preparation of equipment and support clinicians during treatment.
• Collect assessment data and document clinical information.
• Order and coordinate diagnostic tests under supervision.
• Schedule procedures and obtain necessary authorizations; assist with labs and specimen collection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
