Job summary

Loma Linda University Health-Murrieta is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA)-FIT for the ED Surge Unit on a per diem, night shift basis. The PCA-FIT works in a float pool, supporting multiple units under LLUMC-Murrieta with RN supervision and a focus on safe patient care.

Education requirements include CNA or MA program completion, or Nursing Fundamentals, with six months in a nursing role preferred. BLS certification is required; English proficiency is essential with Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved CNA program or MA program, or completion of Nursing Fundamentals required.
• Minimum six months nursing assistant or MA experience preferred.
• Ability to read/write in English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Supports high census periods and staffing needs in a float pool setting.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort and professional environment, following hospital policies.
