Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks an experienced Lead RN/Charge Nurse for the Perrysburg Medical Center Emergency Department. The role coordinates patient care on a designated unit in collaboration with the Clinical Manager and promotes excellence in clinical practice and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities include adjusting schedules, supervising staff in the unit's absence, and ensuring safe patient placement and efficient care delivery while upholding organization policies and infection

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where practicing or covered by a compact (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to patient care)
• PALS/ACLS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC certifications preferred depending on unit
• 2 years nursing experience with 1 year in the acuity level of the desired area (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care on a designated unit in collaboration with the Clinical Manager
• Adjusts schedules and assignments based on acuity, resources, and care design
• Oversees unit operations in the absence of the unit leader and mentors staff
• Communicates effectively with patients and families regarding care plans
• Participates in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities
• Facilitates patient placement, admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Promotes teamwork, conflict resolution, and interprofessional collaboration
