Job summary

CCBC is seeking adjunct faculty to teach day and evening classes in Economics, including Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Personal Finance, at Catonsville, Dundalk, Essex and Owings Mills campuses.

Minimum requirements include a Master’s in Economics or an MBA with 15 econ hours. Enthusiasm for pedagogy and evidence of teaching excellence are preferred. This is a part‑time adjunct role with benefits outlined for part‑time employees.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics or MBA with 15 graduate semester hours in economics.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Enthusiasm for content and pedagogy, use of best teaching practices, and commitment to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course instruction following CCBC outlines and policies, utilize the CCBC LMS, grade and provide timely feedback.
• Mentor students and contribute to the success of the economics program.
• Support the community college philosophy and commitment to student success across diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
• Maintain currency in field through professional development.
• Perform related duties as required.
