Job summary

DC Goodwill is seeking a detail-oriented team member to manage online merchandise from research and photography to posting and order fulfillment. You will research salability, generate compelling descriptions, photograph items, and list them on eBay, ShopGoodwill, and other channels.

You’ll sort, package, label, and ship items while maintaining accurate records and handling inquiries. You will work in a warehouse setting with variable hours, temperature changes, and lifting requirements,

Qualifications

• At least six months of relevant work experience in retail, warehouse, Ecommerce or similar customer-service focused environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel and Outlook) and Internet savvy.
• Detail-oriented self-starter who can learn Ecommerce quickly.
• Able to complete tasks quickly while meeting quotas.
• Responsible, reliable and highly organized.
• Ability to post and list products online in English.
• Ability to conduct reliable internet research.
• Familiarity with basic photographic principles to upload photos.
• Able to work in a warehouse with temperature extremes and noise.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds with equipment.
• Must have reliable transportation for variable schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Research potential merchandise online, assess salability and value, and update online manifest as needed.
• Take clear photos showing appearance, size, color, and details for customers.
• Write persuasive sales copy with essential item information.
• Post items for sale on eBay, Shopgoodwill.com, and other markets as needed.
• Sort items by size, type, style, color or product code and organize storage areas.
• Package and apply shipping labels and stage items for shipping.
• Maintain accurate records of postings, sales, inventory, origin and destination.
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email; support onsite pickup when applicable.
• Operate warehouse equipment to move products safely.
• Coordinate with retail Ecommerce representatives regarding items sent from stores.
