Job summary

The Management Trust is seeking a Landscaper for the Seattle, WA area. You will maintain community grounds with focus on safety and ecological practices, including bioswales, rain gardens, irrigation, plant care, tree care, and general landscape maintenance. Salary is $31.00 - $32.00 per hour DOE, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred. This is a non-exempt, full-time position focused on delivering high-quality service to homeowners

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • 1–2 years of landscape management experience preferred; WSDA pesticide applicator license is a big plus.
  • Must be a team player with strong customer service.
  • Adaptable and dependable with solid attendance.
  • Professional and respectful demeanor with all staff, guests and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety; ensure proper training and tools before tasks.
  • Provide grass maintenance: mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, mulching, dethatching, seeding.
  • Provide ornamental plant care: pruning, fertilizing, transplanting.
  • Provide tree care: canopy raising, pruning, realignment.
  • Use IPM to control weeds and pests with ecological considerations.
  • Perform weekly playground and greenbelt inspections.
  • Assist with irrigation systems maintenance and installations.
  • Assist with drainage systems and related components maintenance.
  • Maintain landscaping equipment and vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized maintenance area.
  • Assist with general grounds maintenance and reporting repairs.
