Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in natural sciences such as biology, ecology, or environmental science.
• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in program management related to habitat restoration.
• Deep knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations and grant administration.
• Strong leadership and project management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work plans and coordinates with the Department Director to meet objectives.
• Leads a multidisciplinary team overseeing Ecological Restoration, Mitigation Services, and Marine Resources.
• Develops annual program budgets based on EMR needs.
• Monitors grants, revenue, expenses, and deadlines; allocates resources.
• Renders technical assistance to agencies, citizens, and environmental groups.
• Implements Board-directed ecological restoration projects.
• Performs wetland delineations and monitoring plans.
• Plans and evaluates staff work and training.
• Represents the Director in presentations to groups.
