Job summary

University Hospital in San Antonio is looking for an Advanced Technologies Specialist to join the multi-disciplinary team in providing comprehensive patient care services, particularly focused on extracorporeal therapies.

The ideal candidate will have critical care experience and ECMO training. A current Texas RN license, along with BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications, is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ECMO experience preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years critical care experience (PICU, NICU, CICU, EC).
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas is mandatory.

The Advanced Technologies Specialist (ATS) participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive patient care services centered on extracorporeal therapies.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Completion of University Health System or other ELSO-based ECMO training program preferred. Minimum 1 year of ECMO experience preferred. Degree preferred. Must have a minimum 2 years critical care experience (PICU, NICU, CICU, EC). Must maintain current BLS, PALS, ACLS and University Hospital System ECMO certification.

LICENSURE

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is mandatory.
