Job summary

Baptist Health in Little Rock seeks an experienced ECMO Specialist (RN) to operate ECMO equipment at the bedside in the ICU and deliver patient- and family-centered care.

In this full-time role, you will provide ECMO management, participate in emergent troubleshooting, and collaborate with the critical care team to optimize patient outcomes. RN licensure, ACLS, CPR, and ECMO familiarity are required. Shift: Day; Hours 0630–1900; 72 hours bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited RN program.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute critical care setting.
• ECMO experience preferred.
• Must have thorough understanding of extracorporeal physiology, patient selection, disease processes, and management.
• Emergency troubleshooting skills.
• A preceptorship will be completed.
• Healthcare CPR and ACLS is required.
• Must be current on education provided by the ECMO Coordinator.

Summary

The ECMO Specialist position is a licensed Registered Nurse (RN), who is an experienced clinician who provides skilled operation of the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) equipment at the bedside in the ICU environment. Provides care for the patient undergoing ECMO support to assure high quality patient and family centered care.
