Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks an experienced ECMO-care professional to operate and manage ECMO equipment under supervision, delivering specialized care to diverse patient populations. You will collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to optimize patient status, monitor ECMO circuit, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires strong critical care experience, relevant licensure, and BLS certification, with preference for pediatric/neonatal backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent, plus certification in perfusion or respiratory care.
• BLS certification required; state license as RN or equivalent for Louisiana, or qualifying respiratory therapist credential.
• Experience in critical care and pediatric/neonatal settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily ECMO course with healthcare team.
• Manage the ECMO patient and ECMO pump.
• Maintain ECMO equipment and monitor circuit performance.
• Collect and manage quality improvement data.
• Comply with policies and maintain patient privacy and safety.
