Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) in Scranton, PA, is seeking an experienced Echo Sonographer to acquire echocardiographic exams and support the adult echocardiography laboratory. You will perform imaging procedures under licensed supervision and assist with ultrasound enhancing agents in compliance with ASE guidelines.

Job Summary: Responsible for a variety of technical duties necessary to the acquisition of echocardiographic examinations and maintenance of the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory. Cardiac sonographers independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of various cardiac imaging procedures. Sonographers prepare, administer and document activities related to ultrasound enhancing agents in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range in their assigned department.
