Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Bonus: Sign-on bonus available
  • Department: Echo Cardio
  • Schedule: 8am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with rotating call and weekends
  • Hospital: Ascension, St. Vincent Heart Care
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN

Our protocols are some of the most comprehensive in the echocardiography field, and we are always looking for ways to provide appropriate training and professional growth to our team members.

What You Will Do

Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols.

  • Set up and adjust all imaging equipment; manually maneuver transducers to perform exams.
  • Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.
  • Perform routine and complex studies and assist in various imaging procedures.
  • Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
  • Position patients and select anatomical and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI obtained within 12 months of hire/transfer.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Cardiac-Intrvn Radiography credentialed from ARRT within 12 months.
    • Registered Radiologic Technologist credentialed from ARRT within 12 months.
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from ARDMS within 12 months.
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from CCI within 12 months.
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from ARDMS within 12 months.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, OR an Associate's/Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable experience.
