Job summary

Merrimack Health in Lawrence, MA seeks an Echocardiography Technologist to perform high-quality echocardiography exams and support physicians with diagnostic interpretation. You will follow established protocols, ensure patient comfort, and coordinate care with inpatient and outpatient teams.

Required RDCS or RCS certification; preferred include three years of adult echocardiography and experience with IAC accreditation.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification is required.
• Three years of full-time adult echocardiography experience is preferred.
• Experience with IAC Accreditation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiography exams according to department protocols.
• Assists in daily department activities including scheduling and coordination of care with other departments.
• Responsible for care and cleaning of echocardiography equipment.

Job description

Responsible for consistently performing high quality Echocardiography exams according to the established protocols that meet department quality standards on both Inpatients and Outpatients. Provides diagnostic clinical support to physicians and other caregivers.

Assists in all aspects of the daily activities of the Echocardiology Department including scheduling of patients and the coordination of care with the other departments within the hospital. Collaborates with clinicians and staff on all aspects of the Department’s operations and planning. Responsible for the care and cleaning of equipment.

Education and Experience

Required:

• National Certification in Echocardiology RDCS or RCS

Preferred:

• Three (3) years of full-time Adult Echocardiography experience.
• Experience in obtaining and/or maintaining IAC Accreditation.
