Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Echocardiography Tech for the Non-Invasive Lab. This full-time role performs echocardiograms with 2-D, 3-D, doppler, and related techniques under supervision, gathers data, and reports findings to physicians.

Requires a cardiovascular program from ultrasound school; 1 year echocardiography experience preferred; Reg Cardiac Sonographer or Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer licensure. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Trade School formal training from ultrasound school with cardiovascular program is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Description

Performs various echocardiography studies on patients under the direction of a Cardiologist, Manager, Assistant Manager and/or Lead Technologist. Gathers and documents appropriate data and reports critical findings to appropriate physicians. Maintains certification/registration with approved credentialing agencies. Conducts various types of echocardiograms including 2-D, 3-D, m-mode, doppler, color doppler, strain and stress echo. Prepares and instructs the patient, performs the study to obtain maximum quality results, cleans and maintains proper functioning of equipment, enters patient data in computer systems.

Education

• Trade School formal training from ultrasound school with cardiovascular program Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Experience

• 1 year experience in Echocardiography Preferred

Licenses

• Reg Cardiac Sonographer Required or
• Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer Required
