Job summary

Firelands Health seeks an experienced Echocardiography technologist to perform cardiac ultrasound testing, educate patients, and support ICAEL accreditation efforts. The role requires certification and strong cardiopulmonary knowledge.

You will collaborate with nursing staff to ensure high-quality imaging and timely reporting in a hospital setting. The position emphasizes patient interaction, accurate documentation, and readiness to assist with stress testing and additional cardiopulmonary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, or 3+ years in cardiopulmonary procedures.
• Cardiac Echo certification required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required. Strong background in cardiopulmonary anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cardiac Ultrasound Testing (echocardiography) and document findings.
• Educate patients about echocardiography and explain procedures to physicians as needed.
• Maintain ICAEL accreditation status and ensure timely reports and documentation.
• Prepare for cardiac stress testing and assist with procedures and monitoring.
• Assist with quality improvement efforts and staff education.
