Job summary

Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia seeks an Echocardiography Supervisor to lead the department, supervise technologists, manage scheduling, and uphold safety and quality standards.

An Accredited Sonography Program is required or an Associate/Bachelor degree in sonography. 3 years imaging experience and leadership experience preferred. CPR/BLS; RDCS-AE or RCS with pediatric RDCS preferred. Hours are Mon–Fri 8am–5pm; no call. Sign-on bonus up to $10k.

Qualifications

• Program Graduate with Accredited Sonography Program is required.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Sonography is preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required on hire; RDCS-AE or RCS with pediatric RDCS preferred.
• 3 years imaging experience required; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises technical team members and ancillary staff.
• Oversees orientation and performance evaluations.
• Produces quality echocardiography images following protocols.

Promotes a safe work environment, incorporates national patient safety initiatives, oversees team member orientation, and performs annual performance reviews/evaluations. Participates in quality performance improvement activities, in-service education, customer service programs, and maintains complex equipment and inventory in order to optimize quality patient care. **What you will do*** Supervises technical team members and ancillary staff assigned to the department. Oversees team member orientation and provides and assists with performance evaluations for the team.* Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures. Provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.* Maintains efficiency for patient scheduling, staffing and productivity.* Promotes a safe work environment through commitment to safety and quality.
