Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiograms, including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and TEE, at a high technical level. You will work under supervision with the echo team, ensuring patient safety and accurate data collection.

The role requires an associate degree in echocardiography or equivalent training, current BLS, and RDCS/RCS certification if possible. On-call duties and on-site work in Southlake, TX are expected.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred.
  • High School Diploma and/or GED is required or preferred.
  • RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification is required.
  • ACLS preferred and BLS required for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

  • Assures proper patient identification and safety.
  • Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Demonstrates understanding of universal precautions and disaster procedures.
  • Completes forms and records accurately for billing.
  • Prepares echocardiographic worksheets for physician review and interpretation.
  • Participates in department quality assurance data collection.
  • Works independently and with colleagues, prioritizing STAT and routine orders.
  • Manages supplies and participates in staying within budget.
  • Attends mandatory education and facility trainings.
