Job summary

Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, MA is seeking a Per Diem Echo Cardiographer to join our diagnostic imaging team. You will perform transthoracic, transesophageal, bubble studies and stress echocardiograms, ensuring high-quality studies and real-time documentation for patients of all ages.

You will communicate findings to physicians, follow established protocols, and maintain accurate medical records while protecting patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified echocardiography technologist capable of performing transthoracic, transesophageal, bubble studies and stress echocardiograms.
• Must maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality Diagnostic echocardiograms to evaluate cardiac function, including transthoracic, transesophageal, bubble studies, and stress echocardiograms.
• Assure that professional care is provided, and appropriateness of study is maintained.
• Assist cardiologist with exams as needed, real time documentation of video and detection of pathology for patients of all ages, following department protocol.
• Communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Follow established protocols and standards for echocardiogram examinations and equipment.
• Performs related diagnostic imaging functions and computer use in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintains appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and medical records while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
• Stay current with new developments in echocardiography and continuing education opportunities.

Pay Range:

$46.00 - $68.35

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geographyof work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
