Providence Newberg Medical Center is seeking an Echocardiograph Technologist for a part-time day shift (Saturday and Sunday, 7:30am–6:00pm). A $4,000 sign-on is offered for eligible external candidates, with full Providence benefits starting on day one.

Responsibilities include performing cardiac ultrasound exams per orders, and assisting with invasive echo procedures. Requires Oregon Sonographer licensure and ARDMS/CCGI credentials, plus BLS. Join Providence to support patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Oregon Sonographer certification required at hire.
• RN? (not applicable) – Cardiac Sonographer credentials required at hire.
• CCGI Cardiac Sonographer credential required at hire.
• ARDMS Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer credential required at hire.
• ACLS/BLS certification required at hire.
• Associate's Degree in Applied Science in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• Minimum 1 year cardiovascular ultrasound experience.
• Minimum 800 exams performed across imaging modalities.
• Pediatric echocardiography experience preferred.
• Familiarity with imaging support for advanced heart failure patients.
• Experience with echo-guided trans-catheter procedures preferred.

Echocardiograph Technologist at Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR

Part-Time/Day Shift - Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am-6:00pm

Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations including, but not limited to, Transesophageal echocardiography, Trans-catheter echo guided procedures (location specific), pericardiocentesis, echo guided myocardial biopsies (location specific), contrast enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer
• Upon hire: National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Or
• Upon hire: National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Or
• Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Applied Science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• 1 year:
• Experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, Or
• Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available.
• Pediatric echocardiography experience.
• Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
• Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures. (St. Vincent Medical Center)
