Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) in Florence, SC seeks a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic echo and vascular studies, including duplex imaging, within the Cardiovascular Laboratory. Minimum qualifications include graduation from a vascular/cardiovascular/ultrasound program or equivalent experience, ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS certification, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Vascular Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Ultrasonography program is preferred.
• Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• One year of training/work experience including a variety of Vascular exams is preferred.
• ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS certification is required prior to being hired.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echo/vascular ultrasound procedures as outlined in Cardiovascular Laboratory policies and procedures.
• May be cross-trained into other areas in the department.
• Maintains compliance with Intersocietal Accreditation standards.
• Assumes responsibility for patients through assessment, observation and documentation.
• Work is primarily independent.
