Job summary

Catholic Health is seeking an Echo Technologist at South Bay Cardiovascular, affiliated with St. Francis Hospital, based in West Islip. You will obtain ICAEL-acceptable echocardiograms and prepare preliminary diagnostic reports.

Responsibilities include quantitative and qualitative analysis, calculations of heart walls and chamber sizes, and assisting with examinations while ensuring patient comfort. ARDMS licensure and BLS are required.

• Prepare examination rooms by checking equipment, restocking supplies, reviewing patient schedules, reading physician orders, explaining procedures to reduce patient anxiety.
• Assist examination table or treadmill during examinations.

The Echo Technologist will be working at South Bay Cardiovascular, a leading cardiovascular medical group, is affiliated with nationally renowned St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center. Based in West Islip, the facility offers a broad range of expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of all types of cardiovascular disease.

Responsibilities

• Able to obtain a quality ICAEL acceptable echocardiogram.
• Able to compile a diagnostic preliminary report. To perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of data in an outpatient setting.
• Calculations of heart walls, chamber sizes, blood flow direction and velocity, comparing measuring to norms.

Salary Range

USD $49.78 - USD $64.87 /Hr.
