Job summary

61st Street Service Corporation is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to work with ColumbiaDoctors' Adult Congenital Heart Center team. Under supervision by the Medical Director, you will perform ultrasound examinations and generate diagnostic images of the heart and vessels.

The role requires RDCS or RCS registration, a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, with 0–2 years of imaging experience including clinical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Two years of college or graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography program required.
• 0–2 years of experience in Diagnostic Ultrasound including clinical rotations.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDCS or RCS required.

Responsibilities

• Localize and recognize differences between healthy and pathological areas to evaluate for factors such as position obstruction or change in shape.
• Judge if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
• Perform ultrasound examinations.
• Record file and edit results of sonograms.
• Maintain logs of ultrasound exams.
• Explain procedure to patient record medical history and prepare patients for testing.
• Assist physicians with patient care.
• 3 D capture analysis offline measurements and quantification of Aortic and Mitral Valves.
• Advanced analysis and quantification of Aortic and Mitral Valves 2 D & 3 D to calculate ERO.
• Extensive calculation of hemodynamic parameters and left ventricular dimensions.
• Performs other and related duties as required.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Adult Congenital Heart Center Medical Director uses equipment to create images using high frequency sound waves into specific areas of the patients body to obtain cardiovascular diagnostic information This is a professional position with no supervisory responsibility Incumbents under this title perform similar but not identical duties

Hourly Rate Ranges 4567 6139 Note Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience skill set training and education
