Essential Functions
- Performs high quality echocardiographic examinations as ordered, obtaining all data necessary for diagnosis.
- M‑mode, Doppler studies, 2‑D and Stress, bubble studies, contrast echoes, tissue doppler, and LA volume.
- Correlates diagnosis to findings and investigates abnormalities.
- Inputs study information and technical findings into ProSolv accurately.
- Properly maintains equipment and work areas.
- Compiles data and statistics.
- Participates in weekly Echo Conference.
- Makes copies of studies for conference and records release.
- Keeps current on all trends and changes in the echo field.
- Makes appointments in the absence of the Echo Secretary.
M‑F 8‑4\,30 or 4 ten‑hour days.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
Successful completion of an accredited Echocardiography program.
Previous experience with basic and cardiac ultrasound.
A minimum of two years’ experience in a medically related field is desired.
Must have credentials as either a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).
CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous experience with vascular ultrasound.
