Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY is seeking an Echo Tech / Sonographer for a full-time morning shift. The role performs echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms for outpatients and inpatients, supports TAVR and RAMP cases in cath labs, and uses 3D Echo to deliver high-quality images for world-class care.

Applicants should be RDCS or RCS certified within 1 year of hire, graduate from a Cardiovascular Ultrasound program, and have at least 1 year of experience; basic life support is

• Registered cardiac ultrasound professional with RDCS or equivalent within 1 year of hire.
• Experience performing echocardiograms and stress echo in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms for outpatients and inpatients.
• Support TAVR and RAMP cases in Cath Labs for pre- and post-imaging.
• Operate and optimize ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality studies.

Join our top-notch team, and help patients with rare, critical conditions. In this role, you'll be responsible for completing echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms for outpatient and inpatients. Techs also support TAVR and RAMP cases done in the Cath Labs for pre and post imaging.

This is a full-time position working Wednesday - Saturday

• Wednesday 6:00am - 4:00pm
• Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm
• Friday 6:00am - 4:00pm
• Saturday 6:00am - 3:30pm

Preferred Criteria

• Pediatric Echocardiography (PE)
• Adult Echocardiography (AE)
• Experience in a hospital setting

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED
• Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program Graduate
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 1 year of hire
• At least 1 year of experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support - AHA
