Job summary

St. Mary’s Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Echo Tech for our Non-Invasive Cardiology Department.

The Echo Tech performs, records and reports echocardiography procedures including 2D and 3D imaging under supervision, ensuring high-quality results and patient safety. The ideal candidate has certification or completion of an accredited ultrasound program with echocardiography experience, and registry to be obtained within one year of graduation.

Qualifications

• Certified non-invasive echocardiography technologist preferred.
• Or graduate of an accredited ultrasound program including echocardiogram.
• Registry to be obtained within 1 year of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Perform, record and report echo procedures (2D/3D, M-Mode, etc).
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety.

Job Description

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Echo Tech for our Non-Invasive Cardiology Department. The Echo Tech, under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager Non-Invasive Cardiology or authorized designee, is responsible to perform, record and report procedures to include, but not limited to, three channel electrocardiographs, M-Mode, 2D and 3D echocardiography.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

Certified Non-Invasive Echocardiogram Technologist preferred. Or a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program which includes Echocardiogram or has had previous experience as an Echocardiogram Tech. Registry to be obtained within (1) one year of graduation of accredited ultrasound program.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms preferred.

SKILLS:

In-depth knowledge of all facets of echocardiography and typing. BLS required.
