Performs clinical imaging procedures to include echocardiography where qualified at a technical level without constant supervision. Responsible for maintaining the uniform operation of the department by performing a broad range of duties.
Receives and processes necessary patient information. Uses independent judgement and initiative to perform imaging exams according to policy while assuring patient safety, comfort, and protection. Assists the radiologist and attending physician. Communicates effectively and appropriately, works efficiently and productively, and maintains a clean and safe environment by demonstrating proper use and care of equipment. Reflects a caring attitude for patients, visitors, and employees. Stays abreast of changes in their profession or discipline through continuing education programs.
