Job summary

Associated Health Professionals, Inc. is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist (Cardiac Sonographer) for Plainview, TX. This contract position runs 13 to 26 weeks with day shifts (07:00 - 17:30) and a pay rate of $70.00 hourly.

The role requires general ultrasound, fetal ultrasound, OB, breast, vascular, and various echo procedures, including contrast and stress tests. AR/ RDCS or VT certification plus BLS is required.

Qualifications

• ARDMS/VT, CCI or RDCS certification and BLS required.
• Ultrasound experience across OB, Breast, Vascular and echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiograms and obtain high-quality images for interpretation.
• Conduct general ultrasound procedures as needed.
• Review patient history and verify orders prior to examinations.
• Prepare and position patients for echocardiographic exams.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to condition changes.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, nurses and the healthcare team.
• Accurately document studies and patient information in the EHR.
• Ensure ultrasound equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
• Communicate clearly with patients with compassion, including veteran patients.
• Maintain compliance with VA policies, safety standards and infection control.
