Job summary

Quadrant, Inc. is hiring an Echocardiogram Technologist (Echo Tech) in Little Rock, AR. The role performs ultrasound imaging, operates equipment, and ensures patient safety and data integrity within a clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited program background, ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS registration, and willingness to travel within the market. BLS certification and strong teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound sonographers.
  • ARDMS registered in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS) or CCI Echocardiography (RCS).
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Willingness to travel within the market.
  • Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient information remains secure and confidential.
  • Prepare examinations by checking equipment, supplies, and orders.
  • Position patients, apply gels and electrodes, adjust equipment and verify signals.
  • Enter data into computer and maintain records of test results.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment for accurate results.
  • Produce high-quality imaging and record measurements against norms.
  • Monitor patient condition during procedures and report changes.
  • Observe safety policies and participate in ongoing training.

Echocardiogram Technologist - Echo Tech

Little Rock, AR

Pay From: $40 per hour

MUST:
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound sonographers
  • ARDMS registered in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS) or CCI Echocardiography (RCS)
  • Experience working with an electronic health record
  • Must be willing to travel to centers within the market
  • Certification Basic Life Support
  • Able to take and follow through with assigned tasks and accountability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
DUTIES:
  • Ensure patient information remains secure and confidential
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following Sage Health policy and procedures, complying with legal regulations
  • Prepares for examinations by checking equipment, taking inventory of supplies, replenishing stock as needed, reviewing physician orders and patient schedules, readying recording equipment and inputting patient information
  • Manages patient stress by patiently explaining exam procedures, answering questions and providing ambulatory assistance
  • Positions patients, applies medical gels and electrodes, connects and adjusts equipment and verifies wave signals
  • Enters test data and patient information into computer to maintain records of test results
  • Maintains and calibrates equipment to ensure accuracy of results
  • Produces high-quality imaging by accurately positioning transducer, monitoring display, listening to signals, adjusting beam strength and focus, detecting artifacts that mimic abnormalities, and recording images
  • Records examination details by printing data and graphics, producing measurements of heart wall, chamber size, and blood flow direction and velocity and comparing measurements to established norms
  • Monitors the patient’s physical condition during the procedure; report patient change of status or emergency situations to clinical staff, supervisor and/or physicians
  • Observes all safety policies and protocols for patient protection
  • Keeps job-related knowledge up to date by taking advantage of educational opportunities, networking, reading professional publications and participating in professional organizations
  • Accepts ownership for completing dynamic requests and seeks opportunities to add value to professional achievements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
