Job summary

Community Health Network is hiring a Registered Cardiac Sonographer in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position entails assisting with new hire orientation, student precepting, and department education.

Applicants should have a minimum of 12 months of full-time clinical experience and possess certifications such as RDCS or RDMS. Commitment to high standards of ethics and continuous learning is essential.

Hours vary but include a start time between 7:00 and 8:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer with 12 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Graduate from a program accredited for diagnostic medical sonography.
• Current RDCS, RDMS, or RCS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of medical ethics and Echo quality.
• Increase understanding of the field and suggest improvements.
• Assist with new hire orientation and department education.

Skills

Job description

Sign on bonus available! Hours: 7:00-8:00 start time 15:30-16:30 end time. Call required 1 week every 6–7 weeks.

This position is split between Community East and South.
Community East: 1500 N Ritter Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46219
Community South: 1402 E County Line Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46227

This position will also assist with new hire orientation, student precepting, department education and quality improvement.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Experience

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer, 12 months of full‑time clinical experience.

Education

• Graduate of a two‑year allied health education program that is patient‑care related, plus 12 months of full‑time clinical experience; or a graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, United States Department of Education, or other recognized accreditation agency that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology.

Certification

• Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).

Skills

• Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and physiology to pinpoint area of imaging.
• Knowledge in operating ultrasound equipment.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with patients and medical staff.
• Ability to adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
