Job summary

Prosper Global seeks a part-time Finance Consultant to support the Ex-Ante Assessment for ECHO funding recertification. You will prepare expenditure listings, organize samples by entity/country, and manage documentation requests for internal and subgrantee records.

You will review materials, prepare clear cover notes, and upload complete packs to the auditor portal, with oversight from the Senior Director of International Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s Degree, CPA, or equivalent is a plus.
• At least 7+ years of international level progressive financial management experience within an INGO at field/overseas level.
• Knowledge of Prosper Global country finance operations, Navigator, cost allocation policy, field finance manual, and cash programming understanding.
• Knowledge of ECHO regulations strongly preferred.
• Fluency in English required; a second language such as French or Arabic is beneficial.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare expenditure listings in clear format for auditor sampling.
• Review sample provided by external audit firm.
• Separate sample by entity/country/organisation with clear reference numbers.
• Issue clear communications requesting sample documentation with timelines for internal and subgrantee documentation.
• Review documentation to pre-audit it and ensure it meets audit requirements.
• Request further clarity and supporting documentation where items are missing.
• Prepare cover notes explaining each expenditure item and upload packs to the auditor portal.
• Follow up on clarifications after auditor review of documentation.
