Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is hiring an EKG Technician for a full-time, 0.9 FTE position with mid-shift hours and flexible scheduling. The role requires weekends and holidays as needed.

Under supervision, you will perform ECG exams, stress testing, transcription of ECG interpretations, and assist with patient information, billing logs, and ICD10 coding. Prior bedside care in acute care and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year bedside patient care in acute care.
• National Provider BLS certification at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrocardiographic exams using ECG equipment.
• Perform stress testing using exercise and pharmacologic modalities.
• Transcribe dictated ECG interpretations.
• Maintain patient information/billing logs and electronic databases.
• Abstract data from electronic/written medical records to obtain correct ICD10 codes and charges.
• Assist in transfers/merges in electronic storage database and ensure symptom documentation for ICD10 codes.
