Qualifications

• TB test completed within the past 12 months.
• Proof of MMR vaccination or approved exemption.
• Physical exam document on file.
• Bloodborne Pathogens Training completed.
• WA State Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Infant/Child CPR & First Aid Certification.
• DCYF Background Check and mandatory trainings.
• 30-Hour Child Care Basics (STARS) Training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and prepared for the full scheduled shift.
• Facilitate and participate in developmentally appropriate activities aligned with curriculum objectives and standards.
• Support social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of each child.
• Assist in quarterly child assessments using program-approved screeners.
• Participate in Parent-Teacher conferences and maintain open communication with families.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment.
• Prepare and maintain classroom environment according to program goals.
• Monitor materials, report damaged items, and arrange timely replacements.
• Maintain accurate child records including attendance and logs.
• Stay in compliance with licensing regulations and program policies.
• Wear child-friendly clothing suitable for an active classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate child records, including attendance, medication logs, and incident reports.
• Stay in compliance with all licensing regulations, ECEAP standards, and program policies.
• Wear child-friendly clothing suitable for an active classroom setting.
• Maintain and update professional records online via MERIT.

• Negative TB Test (within the past 12 months)
