Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools seeks an ECE Instructional Assistant (OI/OHI) at Wilkerson Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. Start time is 7:30, JobID: 40845, 187 days per year, 7 hours daily.

The role supports students with disabilities, assists with IEPs, and helps create a safe, structured classroom. Salary range is $24.52–$26.96 per hour with a $1.00 per hour stipend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Passing score on the KPA (Kentucky Paraeducator Exam) or 48 college semester hours.
• Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
• Physical ability to assist with student needs (positioning, toileting, lifting).
• Willingness to attend district ECE in-service for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Assists in implementing each student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).
• Helps establish and maintain a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment.
• Displays willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
