Job summary

Learning Jungle is seeking an Early Childhood Education Center Chef to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for children aged 0–5. You will ensure compliance with NC licensing, DCDEE guidelines, and sanitation standards, while coordinating with center staff to align meals with daily routines.

You will manage menus, kitchen inventory, and documentation, supporting healthy development in a fun, educational setting. Growth opportunities and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary program completion or coursework in nutrition/food safety preferred.
• Experience in institutional/childcare kitchen is a plus.
• Current pediatric CPR/First Aid certification or will obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals for 0–5-year-olds in compliance with NC/DCDEE rules.
• Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols and health codes.
• Develop weekly menus; accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain records of food production, meal counts, and safety paperwork.
