Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara is seeking an experienced EDA software engineer to join a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team. You will contribute to tools enabling PCB design, physical layout, and SI capabilities for system designers across the company.

The role requires a strong CAD/PCB background, Cadence System Capture, SPB Allegro, and Python scripting; you will design and implement scalable solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help advance NVIDIA's next-generation devices.

Qualifications

  • BS CS/CE/EE or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of industry experience with 3+ years of CAD/PCB tools experience.
  • Proven history of delivering EDA / ECAD around Cadence System Capture and SPB Allegro Layout to aid system designers in sophisticated implementations.
  • System design and hierarchical sub-design
  • Familiarity with automation within common operating systems (Windows/Linux)
  • Experienced with databases (e.g. Oracle/MySQL/MongoDB)
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Good communication and documentation skills

What You'll Be Doing

What We Need To See

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd


  • Experience in the Cadence' System Capture TCL API

  • Background with Cadence SKILL or other CAD-level programming experience

  • Experience with a teamwork environment based on JIRA, Confluence, Git, CI, Perforce

  • Knowledge/experience with PLM systems

  • Knowledge in modern web technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS


Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 264,500 USD for Level 4, and 196,000 USD - 310,500 USD for Level 5.


You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
