Overview

A warm, professional couple based on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced weekday nanny for their 16-month-old son.

Both parents work, so this is a sole-charge position. The nanny will take full responsibility for the child’s care throughout the day, from the morning routine through bedtime. The family is looking for someone confident and capable who can independently manage his schedule, meals, activities and developmental needs.

The schedule will be Monday through Thursday, approximately 12 hours per day, with 48 guaranteed hours per week. The role can be live-out, although accommodation may be available for the right candidate.

This is a fully child-focused position with no general household cleaning required. The family hopes to find a nanny who is warm, calm, caring and easy to have in the home. The ideal candidate will be proactive and engaging without feeling the need to keep the child constantly scheduled or entertained. They should respect the family’s privacy and personal space, communicate openly and be interested in becoming a valued, long-term part of the household.

Requirements

Salary and Benefits

• $35+ per hour, depending on experience
• 48 guaranteed hours per week including applicable overtime, with the potential for additional hours
