• Instructs students in citizenship and other character education programs.
• Provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
• Uses a variety of instructional strategies.
• Works cooperatively with special education teachers, ESL teachers, and others to modify curricula as needed for identified students.
• Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning and implementing instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
• Uses technologies in the teaching/learning process.
• Assists students in analyzing and improving methods and habits of study.
• Consistently assesses student achievement through formal and informal assessments.
• Uses a wide range of tasks to address different learning styles.
• Assists in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the development of students.
• Follows Individual Education Plans, Personalized Education Plans, etc., when appropriate.
• Set up tutoring time for extra help.
• Provides appropriate feedback on student work.
• Develops and monitors Individual Education Plans for eligible students.
