Job Description
  1. Under limited supervision, performs supervisory and administrative tasks overseeing programs for students with disabilities.
  2. Assists the Senior Executive Director in planning, developing, and implementing comprehensive programs for students with disabilities.
  3. Collaborates with supervisors and coordinators on district‑wide services for students receiving special education.
  4. Communicates with school‑based and central office personnel on individual cases and policy interpretation.

Qualifications

  • Valid teaching license issued by the NC Department of Public Instruction in at least one area of disability.
  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local policies and procedures regarding services for students with disabilities.
  • Skills in counseling and developing staff, program development, and data analysis.
Physical and Other Requirements
  • Ability to operate automated office equipment and run a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret legal documents and execute complex instructions.
