Rochester Public Schools is seeking a 1.0 FTE Special Education - EBD Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role requires dedication to students with emotional/behavioral challenges and collaboration with teams to support learning.

Qualified candidates will hold or be eligible for a Minnesota teaching license in K-12 Emotional Behavior Disorders or AB Strategist, with a track record of working in urban, multicultural settings and a commitment to equity across the district.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota PELSB license in appropriate area preferred and/or required: K-12 Emotional Behavior Disorders or Academic Behavior Strategist.
• RPS makes an effort to hire teachers with a full standard license in the assigned subject and/or grade level.
• Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural education desirable.

SALARY RANGE: Prorated based upon hire date

Based on level of education andfull years of licensed teaching experience.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural education desirable.

Demonstrates continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration, and/or job-embedded staff development.

Working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students' learning styles and needs, both academic and affective.
