Job summary

The Lansing School District is seeking an Athletic Director to lead and coordinate athletics across 25 schools in Lansing, MI. This role focuses on recruiting coaches, ensuring policy compliance, and managing home events with strong community engagement.

Qualified candidates will have K-12 coaching experience, knowledge of MHSAA and LSD policies, and a commitment to the district's mission of equity and excellence in education. Attendance at all home competitions is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise all home athletic events.
• Recruit and manage operations staff for home athletic competitions.
• Hire & coordinate officials.
• Act as ticket manager for home athletic events.
• Act as host for visiting teams, press, and families.
• Arrange athletic schedules in coordination with school administration.
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission & vision.

Minimum Requirements

• K-12 athletic coaching experience
