Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our team. You’ll be on the front lines with customers, building relationships and using the latest technology to grow your career.

We offer an earn-while-you-learn Pharmacy Technician Training Program recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor, guiding you toward PTCB certification and a portable credential for advancement in pharmacy care.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willing to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
Good math skills for accurate prescription counting and dosing.
Strong computer skills and familiarity with store systems.
Knowledge of inventory control is a plus.
PTCB certification preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

Under pharmacist supervision, assist in dispensing and pharmacy tasks following policies.
Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Provide a positive, distinctive customer experience and assist customers as needed.
Support inventory management, ordering, receiving, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
Assist with clerical duties, cashier responsibilities, and error reporting.
