Pharmacy Technician Training Program

Job summary

Walgreens in Fall River, MA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Apprentice to join our patient-centered team. You will assist the pharmacist, process prescriptions, and engage customers with a friendly, proactive service approach.

Training is provided through our ASHP/DOL-recognized apprenticeship, with PTCB certification supported by the program. No prior Walgreens experience required, but customer-facing skills and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and related duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and enter patient information accurately.
• Provide a distinctive, friendly customer experience and help customers locate products.
• Support inventory management and cash handling as needed.
• Participate in training programs to maintain certification and skills.
